On the weekend of June 5-7, 2009 the city of Zurich will be hosting the ever so commercial and apolitical EuroPride. We – a bunch of queer people from different walks of life – have taken it upon ourselves to organise Offpride, an alternative queer festival, to be held at the same time. This brings us to our quest: We are looking for queer (femme) burlesque or vaudville performers interested in hooking up a performance or show with us on the evening of June 5 and/or June 6, 2009.
Romeo, one of the people in our group, saw you perform in Italy and even handed you a (slightly wilted) rose after your impressive performance. He thought your performance and story were absolutely gripping. A little bit of research on the www made us realise that you are the founder of burlyq and a part of a larger network of queer burlesque performance artists.
For the parties on June 5 and 6, 2009, we are looking for queer sex and body positive performers who have something critical to say and we feel like you and maybe some other artists in the burlyq network may be just what we are looking for. It would be a great honor to welcome you to Zurich during Offpride!
As we are a nonprofit group we are happy to cover your travel expenses, host and feed you during the event. Unfortunately, we will most probably not be able to pay much of a honorarium. We are still in the fundraising stage and at this point would need to know how much you usually charge for a performance at nonprofit events.

I am still recovering from the Star Trek thing on Friday night at The Can Can in Seattle. That was the funniest shit I have seen in a long time. Have you ever gone to “Bad Motor Booty” in SoDo? I was there last week with some people and it seemed like your kinda thing.
